Lizzo Whips Out Her Flute For a Sultry Cover of Sam Smith's "Unholy"

The "Unholy" hype train is showing no signs of slowing down.Lizzosang thechart-topping Sam Smith and Kim Petras trackin the BBC Radio 1 Live Lounge on Feb. 14, putting her own jazzy twist on the sexy song. Repping designs from Yitty's new denim collection, she started out solely accompanied by heavy bass before drums and backup singers joined in. After crooning the first few verses,Lizzobrought out a special guest,Sasha Flute(yes, she named her flute), for an unexpected solo interlude, followed by some soulful sing-shouting.

"Unholy" was an instant hit even before Smith and Petras officially released it in the fall, going viral on TikTok and inspiring aseductive dance challengeon the app. The song recently won the best pop duo/group performance award at the Grammys, where Smith and Petrasalso performed itduring the ceremony.
